What most don’t know about us Merrick Family Members is that according to the Genetic and ancestry calculator of descendants in America, about 1/3rd of the United States can trace back their family roots to at least one Merrick DNA member or descendant. That is about 120 Million people.

You may not have been keeping up with the news around the world with the famous Sir George Meyrick of Wales who just passed away shortly after he host this foundation members in a Family Reunion in 2018.
In the neck of the woods not far from here in Tioga County PA is the family graves of the Famous Civil War hero Major George Merrick who created the 187th Pennsylvania Volunteers a Army unit still in existence today.

In the local Maryland Area a Senator Merrick and in Pennsylvania the 25th PA district had the first State Senator Walter T Merrick a Lawyer who was Dr. Merrick’s Great Grandfather’s Brother.
But what you may not have known is that Merrick Garland, Nominated to the Supreme Court by President Obama is a descendant of the line of the Merrick Family thus his first name is Merrick.
