family that this movie misidentifies as the WASP's that they came to be in America.
Yet in all those years in believing in the Messiah that most
folks call Jesus, it is really an Amazing story, what has
happened to me. You see, the facts bear out to such a truth
in my life that I have no more family. Like the story
my WASP (White Anglo Saxon Protestant) family would rather
shun me, deny me, pretend I do not exist, rather than face
the facts of history. The dirty little secret is that
the so called good "white Christian Merrick's" are in fact
the evil Jews that they once were the example of "restrictions"
and "Gentlemen’s Agreements".
This story begins in the east side of Cleveland, Ohio in an
all black neighborhood just off East 152nd street were I
grew up. Oh yes there were no Jews in this once all white
exclusive Protestant bastion. Even the Catholics were new
additions of the 1950s after the war brides of Catholic
eastern Europe escaped to the east side and south side
of the fair city by the lake.
Something tugged at my soul when as a boy they took us to
a Jewish Bar Mitzvah as a part of the Christian education
of the Collinwood Christian Church. Filled with Masons
and social elite, the pews of this church were WASP and
very well off. As I watched it decline in the 1960's and
70's, the refined moved to the suburbs or just stopped
coming due to the change in the community from the once
all white to Black and white. Still, the great unspoken
crime of being from a Jewish blood line would have
even had the blacks burning crosses at your door.
Then in the 1970's a Messianic Music group called Lamb
popularized the Messianic and Jews for Jesus movement
open another pathway for my heart to fall in love with
who I am. At the age of 7 I first said my prayer of
faith and was so joyful knowing that I had been saved.
Later at 13 I was baptized and that summer went to
a small prayer and praise group in a small upper room
of a distant church in Mentor where I was baptized in
the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues.
My Grandfather Merrick was a minister, had been since
the late 1800's when he first attended Bible college
in Pittsburgh. So to add insult to injury, from the
family’s’ point of view, I was now involved with
more than one taboo form of worship of the All Mighty.
As I grew older, went through life, I finally came to
the point where I had to know. It just ate at me.
I was attending Messianic services and once I moved
out of the area there were very few places that I could
find those of like faith where I felt "YAH had placed his
name there to worship him in Spirit and Truth".
By this time in my life the family was gone, I won't get
into all the he said she said of it, let it suffice to say
they hated me for not being the "White Christian Merrick"!
After a while of not keeping Christmas, Easter, and saying
such crazy things as: "Did you know we are Jewish"?, They
had enough of me spoiling their illusion of the family
line of Royal British Protestant Kings.
Well I stated doing my Genealogy. There were the great
men of our family who were lawyers, state senators, and
even Major George Merrick who fought in the civil war.
There was the drummer Daniel Merrick who was at the last
battle of the Revolutionary war, and all the way back
through Judges, and Famous men, to Daniel Merrick who
fist came in 1663 from Wales. Still further in 1550
one of my family members was the translator of the Bible
in the Welsh language for the first time. Then back in the
parchments and annals of history there were the Kings of
Wales and England. Still further back like a travel
through time was Passerrude, who was said to have owned
the blood stained robe of Yahshua Messiah and was buried
with a piece of it.
Then to 262 BC further back than any had found my family
line even though 3 books and 4 major manuscripts in
the Museums of England and the Vatican had recorded
the famous Merrick line, was the first crowned King
of the British people, King Coel Codebog of the Merari.

Then still traverse across Europe to the land of
Iraq in Babylon and those who came out of Captivity
there, Numbers 26:57 was the tribe of Merari of the Merarites,
Sons of Levi. From the Right Rev. Roland Merrick who
first translated the Bible in Welsh all the way back
to the Priests of Israel, two roles in life seemed
to gleam at me from time: Music and Worship.
For you see the Merarites were those Levites who
played music in worship in the court of the Temple.
The other Levites were the Priests that made sacrifice
for sin while we praised and sang playing musical
instruments.
So now for the first time in my life I knew who I was.
A Jew and even more a Hebrew who from the dawn of time
had come through the vast expanse of earth to land in
America to be called a "White Christian Merrick".
Yet even though the line has had some great protestant
ministers such as my Grandfather Walter Merrick and
Rev. Fred Merrick my cousin from another line, and
My cousin Margy who has been a Missionary all her life
with her Husband in Mexico and Central America, not
one would like to admit in certain circles the Hebrew
blood.
I found out why this whisper came to be, when I found
the Merc's and Merrick's of France and Germany. Who
died for the very fact of being Jewish in the Catholic
Nazi ovens and gas chambers of Hitler. I also found
out why the family kept moving west with the Czars
of Russia chasing the Mar-icks out of the land.
So it became a matter of Choice to convert and hold
to the Messiah, abandon our Jewishness, and blend
in to save our lives.
But then It all came down to me. You see, I made one
terrible mistake at age 7. Besides getting saved, I started
to READ THE BIBLE. As I did, I found out that
the "white Christian Merrick" brand of Protestant faith,
was just a trick of Satan and the error of falling
away from the real faith of the Bible. You see
the first so called Christians, actually kept the JEWISH
FEASTS and the 7TH DAY SABBATH. That is not just me
saying it, it is in the NEW TESTAMENT!
So what is the moral of this story? It boils down to
one simple line of the Messiah which can tell where
anti-Semitism comes from:
"You will be hated by all men for my names sake"!
I have not talked to any member of my family for
over 10 years since I gave them these facts and
started using the REAL NAME OF THE MESSIAH,
which is YAHSHUA. It is the name given him by YAH GOD
through the angel Gabriel:
"You shall call him YAH SHUA for He Shall Save HIS PEOPLE"!
Psalms 68:4 says that Gods Name is YAH! So it only makes
since that he would be called in HEBREW, Yah's Salvation.
So even now with the legacy of great Jewish producers in
Hollywood like David Merrick and Daniel Merrick his son,
we still have the lingering effect of the 'Gentleman’s
Agreement' that holds to the false idea of the
"White Christian Merrick", because in truth, the blood
is Hebrew even if in some a very small part.
Oh yeah, by the way, I have music of praise and worship
that I wrote and sing as well as having been ordained a
minister in 1990. Go figure, from Adam to Me I am one
of the only people who can show his family history
all the way back to where recorded history began. That
means a whole lot more to me than fitting in with the
"White Christian Merrick" line who are really Jews.
Messianic Jews but none the less Hebrews!

back for me.

THE CREATOR'S TRUE NAME
My Christian family and church knew me as a Christian and had no reason to think of me as Jewish. The Messianic Jewish community therefore had seen no reason to accept me as anything but a convert from Christianity to the Messianic faith. But the hand of the unseen was more powerful.
The resulting test of my faith proved to be more revealing to me of the nature of men to accept the Bible at face value and the Bible as truth. Even in the face of solid theological evidence "the experts" would rather refute truth than adjust their doctrine to fit the Bible. A seminary student on a summer internship I once presented this information to replied "Oh, I can see that it's true, But if I teach that in my denomination I would never get my ordination". The shock I experienced at that was felt deep in my gut. I can only explain that feeling as the same deep hurt and fear I felt when my Grandfather died. I still wonder in how many ways do men of good purpose deny the Messiah and HIS truth for their position ?
I prefer to heed the caution of II Thessalonians Chapter 2 verse 10, 11 & 12: "...That they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause Yah (GOD) shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
During the period preceding our bondage in Babylon, Jeremiah and others make it clear that Israelites were involved in the idol worship which began in Babylon. Even in the book of Daniel Yah refers to King Nebuchadnezzar as “His servant". It therefore is good reason to say that false worship was already a part of the practice of Yah's chosen people which resulted in banishment to Babylon.
Yah used Babylon to judge Israel. It is also a fact of linguistic History that two languages were inter-woven at that point in history, The Hebrew language and the Babylonian language Chaldee The Babylonians had a TITLE for a deity, EL or EL OHIM, was replaced in the Bible in English with the TITLE GOD or LORD. The roots of these words are found in the word BE - EL or BAAL.
Even Unger’s Bible dictionary (page 131), used in most Christian seminaries, refers that the word BAAL is LORD in English. This is why Hosea 2:16 says that Yah shall take the names of Baeli out of our mouths. So when we use the word GOD or Lord we are actually using titles derived from CHALDEE for a deity named Bael or BAAL. So if we
look to know the TRUE NAME of The Creator then we must look elsewhere in scripture or at the HEBREW word un-transliterated from original scripture. The Tetragrammaton or four letters of the sacred name:

Transliteration or to transliterate is a rule in linguistics. It simply means you import the actual phonetic sound of a NAME from the original language into the translated language. This is done with NAMES only. All other words should be translated.
We can see these rules of linguistics practiced every day on the nightly news on TV. An example I like to use is the name YELTSIN. In Russian it means "STEEL MAN', and that is its translation. The name Yeltsin is pronounced YELTSIN in Russian. When we say it in English, because it is a NAME, we transliterate it with the exact same pronunciation. When we say Yeltsin we are speaking Russian phonetically. These rules were to often broken in translating and transliterating the Bible and it is clear in scripture that it is by design. Whose design is not mine to judge. It is safe to say that Satan had his full part in this. The scripture warns us of removing things or adding things to The Creator's Word (Rev. CH. 22). So we must not give Satan credit for the sins of superstition contrived by men of greed and power. But we also must account that it fulfills prophecy.
In Exodus chapter 3 Moshe (Moses) met The Creator on the mountain. Moses did not know His name. So when given the task he asked “WHAT IS YOUR NAME" Exd. 3:13-15 - "And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come to the children of Israel,
and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you; They shall ask me, what is his name? What shall I tell them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and He said, that's what you shall say to the children of Israel, I AM has sent you. And God said moreover to Moses, that is what you shall say to the children of Israel, the GOD of your fathers, the GOD of Abraham, the GOD of Isaac, and the GOD of Jacob, has sent
me to you: THIS IS MY NAME FOREVER, AND THIS IS MY MEMORIAL UNTO ALL GENERATIONS." But the word “GOD” and “I AM” was not in the original.
Now a closer look at this in the original Hebrew reveals an amazing MISTRANSLITERATION because the rule was not followed. The scripture was TRANSLATED instead of TRANSLITERATED AND TRANSLATED. The name of GOD is Strongs number 3050 which is transliterated YAH. The Strongs number used by most scripture for YAH's (Yah's) name is 3068 and 3069 YAH VEH or YAH VAH.
In English the mistransliteration commonly known is Jehovah or YAHWEH. There is actually no "W" or "J" in the Hebrew language. The "W" is a "V" and the "J" is a "Y".
Stay with me now because I am going to prove beyond a shadow of your doubt that Yah's name is YAH and prove it with the scripture both OLD and New Testament.
The root word for the second part of the word YAH VEH is Strongs number 1961. The "VE" or "VA" part in Hebrew means 'unseen' and 'to be honored'. The "H" designation adds the meaning 'eternal existent one'. 1961 'VEH' has it's roots in 2088 'VH' and 2063, which means "THIS" or and "ONE". From this we can see that mistake was that YAH VEH was translated from the 'VEH' and not given it's original TRANSLITERATION
of the NAME of Yah "YAH". This mistake was most likely because of Jewish superstition to not speak the name of Yah or that the translator did not understand that YAH was a name. The most ancient of words, still used in praise today is
Hallelujah. We do not say HALLELUYAHWEH or HALLELUYAHVEH, we say HALLELU YAH which means 'praise unto Yah'. We find proof that this is Yah's name in Psalms 68:4 "... Extol (praise) Him by His NAME YAH". So when Moses met The Creator he asked "WHAT IS YOUR NAME" and Yah told him "I AM YAH, TO BE HONORED, And THE ETERNAL EXISTENT ONE"... “THIS IS MY NAME FOREVER, AND THIS IS MY MEMORIAL UNTO ALL GENERATIONS" Moses carried that message to Israel yet somewhere between now and then the name was lost. In case you haven't checked lately this is still forever unto all generations. So Yah's name is YAH, Strongs number 3050. The other things are added are TITLES to lend reverence, respect, praise, and honor to The Creator's name. We should be careful that the All Mighty All Powerful eternal one that exists, our supreme being's name not be forgotten or replaced; that the words of the prophets be fulfilled in the restoration of HIS HOLY NAME YAH.
Hosea|2:16 And it shall be at that day, saith Yah, that thou shalt call me Ishi (Father); and shalt call me no more Baali (Lord). Hosea|2:17 For I will take away the names of Baalim (LORDS) out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.
H430 GodH430 Elohime in its root is a Chaldee word for deity and the longer version of El which was derived from BE-EL a variation of the word for Baal (Hos 2:17 For I will take awayH5493 (H853) the namesH8034 of BaalimH1168 out of her mouth,H4480 H6310 and they shall noH3808 moreH5750 be rememberedH2142 by their name.H8034 ). In the word study we see then extended phonetic orientation of the context of pagan Babylon etymology being BE-EL-ZE-BUB or a type of darker version of satanic duplicate for the name of the one true creator. The thought and context of the word holds more to the musical phonetics best explained in English as Supreme Being and creator. A more timely definition would be ALL MIGHTY or MIGHTY ONE in the historical context of warring tribes or worshipful actions of mankind toward the first idea of a maker. Looking back from the modern era of the mindful Bible student we can express the idea today of the names of Baal or gods being removed from worship and expressions of praise in understanding the true name of the All Mighty Creator who has given His name to Moses in Exd. 3:15 I AMH1961 LORDH3068 . David again in
Plms 68:4 says "Praise him by his name YAH" (by his nameH8034 JAH,H3050). It seems to be the general term for a deity H3068 from the mixture of Hebrew and Chaldee one might find better to be without if given a heart of faith to avoid the mention of the phonetics of the names of pagan gods H1168. One could envision the conflict on the ancient frontier of the Middle East where different cultures met in battle and display the names of their gods on the shield from swords, a picture of men meeting and declaring ' Our Mighty One or El is YAH' and the others saying the name of their god. Yet still the shield of the House of David the king was in fact the sacred four letters, YHVH, of the Holy Name of YAH VAH or YAH VEH. Gen 1:1 In the beginningH7225 GodH430 createdH1254 (H853) the heavenH8064 and the earth.H776 The Modern term all be it right or wrong Yahweh is in wide usage among Christians and Messianic Jews alike. The King James 1611 version replaced the Name or Tetragrammaton YHVH with the word in all capital letters ‘LORD’ not considering the possibility of the Name being YAH H3050 would be the ALL MIGHTY’S Name and that the VEH H1961 (I AMH1961 ) being another totally different word meaning ‘All powerful existent one who is to be praised, honored, and glorified forever’. The suggestion of the split words not needing a vowel point between the V and H in the middle of to word eliminates the “O” which has mistakenly created the word Yahovah written in modern English as Jehovah. The vowel “A” being replaced for the “E” which is clearly proven wrong be the word H3050 YAH. This mistake continued over into the name of the Messiah with the word Yeshua which is correctly written as Yahshua. Some lesser admired scholars have argued the vowel points for other letters such as “U” and the usage of the double “UU” to denote the “W” in Yahweh. It is important to note that the text was altered from the original with the Dead Sea Scrolls showing an earlier form of Hebrew with the four letters restored in key places.
Still
to me it is interesting that the script of the middle Hebrew is used in the Dead
Sea Scrolls and not the earlier forms of the first alphabetical language. There
are in fact 4 Hebrew languages which include the early, middle, late, and
modern. There is more about this at the end of this chapter.
We can further prove this by the corrected translation and transliteration of Matthew chapter 27 verses 46 and 47: "And about the ninth hour Yah Shua (Jesus) cried with a loud voice, ELI YAH, ELI YAH, LAMA SA-BACH-THA-NI? That is to say My GOD, My GOD, why have you forsaken me? Some of them that stood there, when they heard this said, This man calls for Elias". Elias is Strongs number 452 which is the same as EliJah or ELIYAH. Those that were, unlearned in Hebrew, who stood by thought Yahshua (Jesus) was calling on the prophet Eiljah. In the King James Version the 'YAH' in 'ELI YAH' is missing. ELI which is preserved in this translation in Hebrew means MY.

'YAH' I have added back in because it is evident that it was there originally. Yahshua (YAH's salvation), was saying "MY YAH, MY YAH". Had that not been what he was saying then those who stood by could not have misunderstood and think that he was calling for the prophet Eliyah. The scripture makes the interpretation clear in the translation 'That is to say My Yah, My Yah'. I believe that it was placed by Matthew there so that when men made this mistake that the Holy Spirit could reveal the truth to mankind. In the day the prophet Hosea spoke of, the day that YAH would remove the names of Baal out of our mouths.
In the same way the name Yahshua was mis-transliterated from the Greek rather than the Hebrew. YAH SHUA means "YAH's salvation". In Matthew 1:21 Gabriel is sent to Mary to tell her of her blessed task to bring forth a son. He tells her "you shall call his name Yah Shua, for He shall save His people".
Since HE was to save YAH's people then it only makes since that HIS name would be YAH'S SALVATION.

Of Hebrew origin [H3091]; Jesus (that is, Jehoshua), the name of our Lord and two (three) other Israelites: - Jesus. That word being YAH SHUA or YAH’s Salvation for He shall save YAH’s people.
Acts chapter 4 verse 12 says there is ONE name under heaven given for men to be saved. It only makes since that it would be the same in the Old Testament and new being that the scripture recounts that the Creator and the Messiah are the same yesterday, today, and forever. The ongoing covenant of YAH with the people called and saved by HIS NAME.
In English we translate this name as Yahshua and would more correctly use the name JOSHUA. Numerous Bible dictionaries recount the fact that Joshua the son of Nun, the successor of Moses, had the same name as the saviour. As Yahshua the son of Nun lead Israel across the Jordan into the promise land YAHSHUA the son of YAH leads us through baptism into the heavenly promise land of eternal life.
I don't believe that this is to say that those saved by the name of Jesus or Yeshua are not validly saved. Only that the miracle of salvation was not confounded by Satan’s attempt to change the names to preserve the guilty. The Holy Spirit is not confounded by Satan’s tricks. When we know the truth, the miracle is revealed that our salvation is assured
in His blood bought victory over Satan. That at This Name every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that YAH SHUA Messiah is King and our everlasting salvation.
Where this information can truly be used is in witnessing the Israelite people. In Zachariah chapter 3 YAHSHUA (Joshua) is told 521 years before Messiah that He will judge Yah's house. This chapter makes direct reference to THE BRANCH. It is widely accepted among Jews as a messianic prophecy. Since Joshua the son of Nun was long dead by this time, It is obviously YAH SHUA THE MESSIAH to which is given charge to "REMOVE THE INIQUITY OF THE LAND IN ONE DAY". So the Christian misconception that YAH VAH (VEH) was keeping the whole thing a secret from the Jews is proven false by Zachariah chapter 3. Yah Veh not only revealed His name to the Jews, but also revealed the saviour's name 521 years before His birth.
Zachariah further reveals that Yah and Yahshua shall be King over all the earth (14:9) "In that day shall there be one Master (Lord), AND HIS NAME ONE." "Hear oh Israel...YAH IS ONE". Deuteronomy|6:4
Some 400 years before Messiah came, the scribes began the practice of replacing THE NAME, Ha Shem, with the titles of Baal and deities of pagans. Little wonder that the elders were so angry with Yah Shua when he spoke the name of His Father Yah. John Ch. 17:6 reveals the very nature of salvation in Messiah's prayer: "I have manifested Thy name...". Again in John Ch. 17:11 " ... Holy Father, keep through thine own name those
whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are". In like way history has repeated it self by the invention of the name Jesus 397 years ago, now Messianic Jews hold to the name Yeshua furthering confusion from the truth.
For this cause I have given up the practice of linguistic deception of using Jehovah and Yeshua and call upon the name of YAH for my salvation. I ask you to join with me and come out of the synagogue of Satan and its practice of deception to use false names. To facilitate this, during my transition from using Yeshua and Jesus to using Yahshua I wrote some songs that Yah gave me to help with the new birth of truth. The album is entitled 'ALIYAH' which means 'to go up to Yah'.
In witnessing, falsehoods like Yeshua and Jesus only contribute to confusion that keeps Jews from seeing THE TRUTH that YAHSHUA is The Messiah and He Was revealed in NAME 521 years before His Coming. Please consider in prayer and research this as I have. Babylon Mystery Religion began in the Jewish practice of it's religion and continues today in Messianic, Christian, and all the worlds religions.

So if you use Yahweh, Yahvah or Yahveh for the name of the most high all mighty creator and supreme being is all a matter of what vowels you choose or which teacher you ascribe to as to what the ancient Hebrew word was phonetically. Vowel points were added to the Tetragrammaton by the Masoretes, in the first millennium C.E. Six different Hebrew spellings of the Tetragrammaton are found in The Leningrad Codex of 1008-1010 A.D.
